The French Bulldog breed is a great companion. The dog breed is very playful and loves to be loved and kissed. Frenchies are very sweet and fun-loving with a comical personality. Frenchies are very smart, curious, and alert. A French Bulldog is a small dog with a muscular frame. This breed is very compact and has a short thick body. They resemble other bulldog breeds but are smaller all around. They will also have bat ears that stick up straight most of the time. French Bulldogs get along well with other animals, people, and kids. A french bulldog needs a lot of love and companionship, otherwise they may become depressed. A Frenchie hates to be ignored and needs to feel like the center of attention. They are fairly will-full, and will make their presence known to all. They are great family dogs and love attention from little kids and children. Frenchies are sensitive to temperature extremes and cannot tolerate hot weather, and are easily over heated. The breed is good in the apartment environment and can be playful inside. They do not need a big backyard, but enjoy daily outside exercise or a brisk walk. Frenchies have a coat of fine short hairs.
